Sunday July 14, 11:00 We czeck out at the hotel reception and have brunch somewhere at the main road. After a shopping stop at a giant mall outside Zlin we drive back to Praha, 350 km westbound.

Sunday July 14, 17:00 On our way to pension "Visoczansky Pivovar" we pass the "Modra Vopice", but we go on and czeck in at the pension. "Visoczansky Pivovar" is a former brewery, nowadays kind of a youth hostel with a lot of tiny rooms.

Sunday July 14 2002, 18:30 We have to go to a bankomat to get cash for the pension. Afterwards we decide not to walk to Modra Vopice (2-3 km distance) but to go there by car - this will turn up as a wrong decision. No problems at the entrance, our names are on top of the guest list. Modra Vopice ("Blue Monkey") is kind of an open air club with a small house, where you can eat and get your drinks, on one side and the stage under a roof of currogated iron on the opposite. Sky is cloudy, we hope it wonīt rain again today. We meet Linus, webmaster of waltari.sk, we talk, the band is doing the sound check, then i show the photos from yesterdays concert around, we have some pub food together. Waltari have spent last night in a bordell near Zlin, not as bordell guests but as sleeping guests, accomodation was organized by a local biker club...

Sunday July 14 2002, 20:30 Show is planned to start at about 22:00, we want to go back to the pension - shock: our car has vanished. Our former parking space is in use by a different car now. We freeze, unable to grasp what happened. We stop a passing policecar, the officers donīt understand english or german at all (welcome to europe). Fortunately Alena, slovakian girl friend of the tour manager, speaks very good german and translates for us. It turns out that the police doesnīt tow away on sundays and probably the car was stolen. The tour van takes us to the police station.

Sunday July 14 2002, 23:00 After 2 hours we are finished with police report for tonight. The police officer was very friendly, we filled out three different forms - great luck to have Alena as translator, otherwise it would have taken at least double the time. A police patrol takes us back to Modra Vopice, we have to show them where it happened.
