Sunday July 14 2002, 23:15 Back at the Modra Vopice at last - after all we are able to see at least some songs of Waltari gig. Steffi was taking pictures with my camera and Shirin shooting video so i can see earlier parts of the show when back in germany. First song we hear now is "wasting my mind", this represses the bad feelings a little bit. Atmosphere is very good and sound much better than yesterday in Zlin: i fact, according to the organizers, the best sound they´ve ever heard in Modra Vopice. Finnish soundman Jukka Wahlsten was celebrated after show with champagne - also for his birthday.
Monday July 15 2002, 00:30 The concert ends after some encores and Waltari leave the stage obviously exhausted. Besides Kärtsy especially Jari had a wild show tonight.
Monday July 15 2002 01:00 Some fans want to be photographed with Waltari and everybody wants to hear the story about our stolen car and if insurance will pay - well, i really don´t know this, yet.
Monday July 15 2002, 01:15 The band´s accomodation tonight is situated about 30 km outside of Prague, so they leave the place and we don´t expect to have a long night, but surprisingly Kärtsy and his brother didn´t go with the others. They stay the night in Prague and ask us to join them together with Lenka (a czech folk singer) and two finnish tourists, Mirka and Jari. There´s not much going on around Modra Vopice, so we take two cabbies to the centre. The security guys at Roxy don´t want us to party there because it is about to close in 30 minutes (or maybe we are not en vogue?), but around the corner we find a place to stay, kind of an arabic restaurant, nearly closed already, but we are welcome until five o´clock, having some beers, vodka-red bull and very good hummus (arabic speciality).
